I had the pleasure of spending a week in company of some French friends at Margarida’s Pousada. It is well worth its good reputation, beginning with Margarida’s welcome. She makes sure that every guest finds the comfort of a well furnished, clean room, with warm water from its own tap and not from an overhead resistance heater that ser difficult to adjust as in other Pousadas that I visited in Mexico, or Costa Rica.
Breakfast (Café da manha) is plentiful and varied with fruit, different kinds of bread, cakes, toasts, Brasilian coffee of course or teas and natural fruit juice prepared from scratch as well as eggs prepared on demand, in fact everything to keep up our energy until lunch time. The environment is international and friendly. Margarida herself takes care of informing her guest of the most interesting and popular sites in Rio.
I would highly recommend Margarida’s for its prime location, its outstanding service and its reasonable prices.
